NWANA Licenses
NWANA licenses help organize the people and roles needed to grow Nordic Walking across North America.
Licensing is part of the NWANA pathway for athletes, instructors, local leaders, organizers, officials, event directors, and supporters who want to participate in a more structured way.
Why Licenses Matter
Licenses help NWANA build a trusted structure for participation, education, competition, local leadership, results, rankings, events, and long-term sport development.
As NWANA grows, license pathways may help identify active participants, trained leaders, certified instructors, event organizers, officials, and eligible athletes for official divisions or future rankings.
Possible License Pathways
NWANA license options may include:
- athlete licenses
- instructor licenses
- coach or leader pathways
- officials and judges
- event director or organizer roles
- supporter or organization-related roles if added later
- renewals and license records
For Athletes
Athlete licensing can help connect participants to official Nordic Walking divisions, competition pathways, results, standings, rankings, and future championship opportunities when applicable.
For Instructors and Leaders
Instructor and leader pathways help NWANA support safe technique, local group development, community activity, academy training, and responsible program growth.
For Organizers and Officials
Event directors, organizers, officials, judges, and volunteers may become part of NWANA’s future event and competition infrastructure as more local stages, series, and championship-style events are developed.
