Building the Continental Standard

NWANA is the continental governing and sanctioning body for competitive Nordic Walking in North America. We operate as a U.S. - based nonprofit public charity under IRS Section 501(c)(3), dedicated to developing the sport, protecting its integrity, and expanding access for athletes, clubs, and communities across 23 nations.

NWANA does not organize events directly. We govern the sport, certify officials, and sanction competitions through recognized operators — maintaining the standards that make results legitimate and participation meaningful.

Licensing, certification, and sanctioning are program service fees, separate from charitable contributions.
